I don’t really talk very personally here (except in vlogs) but I just wanted to share this lovely video with you, as well some background on why it really couldn’t have come at a better time. The video features the lovely AskCarrieLee, 19Becka and ObviouslyBenHughes talking about yours truly from the 789 YouTube Gathering in New York.
The last couple of weeks have been really hard for me. Of course we saw a slew of celebrity deaths perhaps most notably that of Michael Jackson and that affected me much more than I anticipated. Then just recently I discovered that John A. Keel, author of books such as The Mothman Prophecies and Jadoo, also passed away. Keel was a personal hero of mine. Some of the circumstances of his death seem particularly heartbreaking and I couldn’t bare to read the entire article because that wasn’t how I wanted to remember him. I sat down with the intention of writing something on Friday about his passing but couldn’t bring myself to do it, and instead seemed almost instantly to develop flu-like symptoms. (The finer details of which I shall spare you.)
So when they talk about me being awake at 3am, know this isn’t typical. I am just ill and trying to do whatever I can to make myself comfortable.
This video was so beautiful it almost made me cry. Thanks for thinking of me you guys.
YouTube’s own AskCarrieLee as you’ve never seen her before… in a labcoat?

YouTube Upload Size Limits
In other news… YouTube have recently announced that their standard video upload size has been increased, doubled infact, from 1GB to 2GB. This might be a great time to consider the video quality output of your videos.
Hello everyone. I regret that I haven’t been updating this blog as often as I would’ve liked to. I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support and assure you that there is more to come from JOJDOM (the domain of JohnOfJordan, heh). I am gearing up towards a second series of the JOJCAST podcast. I do intend to do some things differently this time around and while this will add to my production schedule I think it will make for a more enjoyable listening experience. So stay tuned!
In the meanwhile it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge some developments in the YouTube community.
Congratulations Carrie Lee!AskCarrieLee has recently reached the 8,000 YouTube subscriber mark. While I do sometimes suffer from subscriber envy I truly believe that nobody has worked as hard to build an audience as Carrie Lee, she deserves every success and I fully expect many more great things to come her way in the future!
